VisionWeb, the premier provider of cloud-based technology services to the optical industry, announced that they have reached 100,000,000 online orders placed through the VisionWeb online ordering portal. VisionWeb's online ordering solution connects eyecare providers to over 400 optical suppliers so that they can place their spectacle lens, contact lens, and frame orders all from one online location.
VisionWeb has been providing cloud-based technology and software solutions to the optical industry since 2001. Nearly 30,000 eyecare providers, in the United States and worldwide, use VisionWeb to place online ophthalmic product orders. In celebration of this milestone, VisionWeb has released a new infographic, "The State of Online Ordering: Then vs. Now", which examines the growth of online ordering over the past 11 years.

While VisionWeb's global users helped reach the 100,000,000 online order milestone, 70% of these transactions were placed in the U.S., with the 100,000,000th order being placed in Traverse City, MI.
"We've been true to our mission of providing the eyecare industry with technology solutions that enable eyecare providers to automate business processes and increase office efficiency. Hitting the 100,000,000 order milestone couldn't have happened without the steady adoption of our technology," said Ken Engelhart, CEO and President of VisionWeb. "The growth of online ordering represents the eagerness of eyecare providers to utilize technology in a way that enhances their daily functions, and validates that VisionWeb's value proposition for eyecare providers has grown each year."
Whether a single location dispensary ordering from one laboratory, or multi-location operation doing business with several labs, VisionWeb's ordering solution makes eyecare practices more efficient. They achieve this by providing a single online location to place ophthalmic product orders with over 400 suppliers, and users have online access to order status and tracking, automatic error-checking, lab-specific catalogs, and more.
