Forerun, Inc. (www.forerunsystems.com) announced today its launch of UrgiCare Manager™ documentation and care management solution. Forerun, a leader in delivering innovative electronic charting software for the emergency department is immediately offering its UrgiCare Manager solution to the expanding Free-standing ED and Urgent Care Center marketplace.

UrgiCare Manager integrates with available practice management solutions and hospital systems making it attractive to both independent Urgent Care Centers and those affiliated with hospitals. Its intuitive single chart template supports physician productivity for the range of acuity typically seen in these care environments.

Ken Wolfe, the company's CEO said, "Expanding our offerings to meet the needs of these other unscheduled care environments is a natural extension for Forerun. Leveraging our expertise in ED clinical operations and system integration, we're delivering a pre-built configurable solution that addresses the specific needs of the Urgent Care space."

The interoperability features of UrgiCare Manager enhance care coordination with patients' primary care providers, positively impacting patient and provider satisfaction. Advanced reporting and analytics features provide facility managers with near real time data on key metrics needed to optimize center operations.

The UrgiCare Manager application is provided as a centrally managed and hosted solution offering the same high quality service and system reliability enjoyed by its Emergency Department customers.

Forerun's UrgiCare Manager recently went live at Dedham Medical Urgent Care Center, affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Norwood, Massachusetts, a new facility that is staffed by clinicians from BIDMC.
