CCA Industries, Inc. announced today that its revenues for the three months ended February 28, 2010 were $13,198,285, net income was $541,554 and earnings per share were $0.08 fully diluted, as compared with last year's first quarter revenue of $14,944,466, net income of $124,366 and fully diluted earnings of $0.02 per share. "Our financial position is very strong. Our ratio of current assets to current liabilities is 3.8 to one, with no bank debt," stated Dunnan Edell, President.

New article focuses on the role of registered dietitians in patient management

More than one third of Americans are considered obese and approximately 15 million (5%) Americans now have a body mass index greater than 40. The April issue of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association focuses on the ever-increasing use of bariatric surgery to control the excess morbidity and mortality associated with extreme obesity and the important role that registered dietitians play in the management of patients who have undergone the procedure.

Previous studies have shown that GI is a reproducible measure of day-long postprandial glycemia. Over 2480 GI values of individual food items were listed in the recent edition of international tables of GI and GL. The relationship between food GI and human health has been largely investigated and is still one of the research hotspots in this research field.
