WTN Services(R) and the Winetasting Network(R) a division of 1-800-Flowers.com(R) have announced they have deepened the commitment to their existing plan of industry partnerships and projects that better the community. WTN Services(R) and the Winetasting Network(R) have again announced they are lead corporate sponsors of the Annual AIDS Walk Napa Valley to benefit the Care Network at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. This year's walk, the 16th Annual, is being held on Saturday, October 31st and will be held on the grounds of the historic Veterans Home in Yountville, Napa Valley, CA.

"Having the AIDS Walk on Halloween day will undoubtedly make this one of the most enjoyable events we've ever participated in," stated Chris Edwards, Vice President and General Manager at WTN Services. "We're expecting lots of great costumes and wonderful surprises this year, with the hopes of raising great awareness and much needed funds for the Care Network at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center," Edwards added.

Adding to the special Halloween festivities, special trick or treating stops will be situated along the walk for the kids, and kids at heart, and are provided by WTN Services, along with its sister companies Cheryl&Co.(R) exceptional cookies and baked gifts, Fannie May Confections Brands(R) premium chocolates and confections and The Popcorn Factory(R). For the 2009 event, WTN staff will help with gathering teams, volunteering at the event, and providing encouragement to all community members to participate in this important benefit.

WTN Services(R) and the Winetasting Network(R) and their employees have been involved with the event for many years running and have been instrumental in encouraging other industry leaders to become involved.

"WTN Services(R) and the Winetasting Network(R) are pleased to be doing what we can in these turbulent times," stated Chris Edwards, Vice President and General Manager. "We are always looking at ways that we can help make a difference, and getting our employees involved in their community. We look forward to continuing efforts in these community events in the future, and to encouraging partnerships with many of our industry friends in those endeavors," Edwards added.

In addition, the 2009 Napa Valley Aids Walk event coincides with The United States Conference on AIDS (USCA), set for October 29-31, 2009, at the Hilton San Francisco Hotel, in San Francisco, California. The United States Conference on AIDS features the largest AIDS-related gathering in the United States, with over 3,000 workers from all fronts of the HIV/AIDS epidemic - from case managers and physicians, to public health workers and advocates, people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH/As) to policymakers - all coming together to build national support networks, exchange the latest information and learn cutting-edge tools to address the challenges of HIV/AIDS.

"We are pleased to be able to participate in this worthwhile event - especially with all the incredible energy and talent that will be in the San Francisco Bay Area for the United States Conference on AIDS," Edwards continued. "HIV/AIDS is an epidemic that has not gone away, and it will take even more effort - and money - to make sure we can work towards eradicating this disease once and for all," Edwards said.

WTN Services(R) and the Winetasting Network(R) continue to look at ways to develop strategic partnerships with wine industry leaders on projects for the betterment of the communities they serve.
