E-18 Corp. (OTCBB: ETEN), through its wholly owned subsidiary, SquareOne Medical, Inc., doing business as Protectus Medical Devices ("Protectus Medical Devices"), today announces the release of a letter from Paul Dwork, Pharmacist, and President of Merlin Medical Supply Pharmacy, endorsing the many benefits of the Protectus Safety Syringe.

As a pharmacist and inventor, Paul Dwork provides consulting functions to many clinics, as well as medical companies, on the issue of disposal of toxic medications, as well as used syringes. Written to Jack Dillard, a founder of the Company and inventor of the Protectus device, the letter commends him on the work he has put into perfecting the only safety syringe in existence today that automatically self-sheaths, potentially saving hundreds of lives each year and relieving healthcare practitioners and nurses from the constant worry of accidental needlesticks.

“We appreciate Paul’s official endorsement of the Protectus Safety Syringe, being such a strong supporter over the years,” said Dr. John Salstrom, President and CEO of Protectus Medical Devices. “As part of our ongoing mandate for enhanced investor communications, we look forward to keeping our loyal shareholders apprised of corporate news and additional endorsements in the coming weeks and months.”

From the letter:

“Within my practice, where I am primarily dealing with the consumer population, the issue of accidental stick has always been an ongoing problem. The patients are not sophisticated in the proper disposal of the syringes, and although they are supposed to dispose of them in a Sharps Container or the like, they usually do not, and dispose of them in the trash. This dangerous practice has led to many accidental needle sticks.”

Dwork goes on to say, “After reviewing your syringe, I have found that you have addressed the many issues which have long been needed in this type of syringe. It is easy to use, and is so automatic, that this provides the security to the one giving the injection that even if their mind wanders during the procedure, there will be no failure with their protection.”
