Coverall Health-Based Cleaning System, a leading franchisor of commercial cleaning businesses, today announced a strategic alliance agreement with Ecolab Inc., a global leader in cleaning, sanitizing, food safety and infection prevention products and services. The agreement comes at a critical time, as businesses take steps to protect against the H1N1 virus and other germ-related illnesses.

Coverall conducted extensive evaluation and testing of numerous products and determined that Ecolab's products met or exceeded all of Coverall's stringent standards and systems. In addition to cleaning compounds, Coverall will exclusively offer Ecolab's comprehensive hand hygiene system to its franchisees, as well as specify the new Ecolab product line for its Touch-Free restroom cleaning protocol. Adding Ecolab's offerings to the Coverall selection of cleaning products now gives Coverall the ability to meet any of their franchisees' cleaning chemistry needs.

"Our Health-Based Cleaning System(SM) protocol is highly effective for killing germs and bacteria, removing soil and eliminating harmful pathogens," said Peter J. Sheldon, Vice President of Operations for Coverall. "With the addition of Ecolab's products and hand hygiene system, which greatly helps to minimize recontamination, our franchisees can now offer their customers a complete closed-loop solution that can save them money by reducing productivity loss due to employee sick time."

Surface disinfection combined with proper hand hygiene has been demonstrated to represent one of the best defenses against the spread of potentially harmful organisms in indoor environments. Thus, adding Ecolab's hand hygiene program to its proprietary, scientifically-validated cleaning methodology for surface hygiene enables Coverall to provide a comprehensive risk reduction cleaning strategy to customers.

"We are extremely pleased to be able to partner with an industry leader like Ecolab whose line of Green Seal(TM) certified cleaning products will add value to the Coverall service proposition," added Sheldon. "Coverall believes that environmental safety and cleaning to ensure a healthy facility are compatible goals, and we are committed to providing as many green products, equipment and methods as possible."

Coverall has more than 9,000 franchisees serving over 50,000 customers in many vertical industries such as healthcare, food service, retail, fitness and recreational facilities as well as commercial office buildings. The company's Health-Based Cleaning System Program delivers scientifically developed products and methods designed to provide measurably cleaner facilities and to eradicate and remove illness-causing germs from indoor environments.
