Ouroboros Medical receives approval to market its spinal fusion product in Europe

Ouroboros Medical, Inc., an early stage medical device company focused on developing minimally invasive spine products for degenerated disc disease, has received approval to market Ouroboros’s spinal fusion product in Europe.

Additionally, Ouroboros Medical recently accepted an award in November at the 2009 Spine Technology Summit Awards, for being a novel minimally invasive lumbar spine fusion device.

Ouroboros’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Kurt Vedder, says, “The entire organization is extremely pleased with the development of the Ouroboros Spine Fusion System, the progress the Company has made, and the recognition we are receiving.” Moreover, Mr. Vedder says, “With Ouroboros’s leading-edge technology, we are confident our technology will find its place into the repertoire of spine surgeons, looking to perform safe, effective, and minimally invasive spine fusion surgery.”
