LUMEDX announces latest addition to its CardioPACS imaging solution

LUMEDX, a leading provider of fully integrated cardiovascular information systems, announces the latest addition to its CardioPACS imaging solution: an interface to QLAB, proprietary ultrasound software from Philips. Through Philips’ QLAB advanced 2D and 3D ultrasound quantification tools within the LUMEDX CardioPACS application, facilities using Philips ultrasound systems can now enjoy greater efficiencies and enhanced accuracy of diagnosis.

The LUMEDX CardioPACS QLAB interface allows the user to launch the QLAB application direct from the image while within the LUMEDX CardioPACS application performing image review and reporting. No longer constrained to perform the quantification on the ultrasound system after the images are acquired, this capability creates efficiencies during the diagnostic cycle. The LUMEDX CardioPACS QLAB interface also eliminates the need to send the images to a stand-alone laptop or workstation for quantification. In addition to improved workflow, facilities also benefit from the potential to increase throughput of their ultrasound systems. The LUMEDX CardioPACS QLAB interface makes it possible to increase the number of patient exams because the ultrasound systems are no longer occupied with the advanced QLAB analysis.
