Southern California’s Sexual Recovery Institute (SRI), the leading outpatient treatment center for sex addiction, has announced additional Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). The expansion is a result of increased awareness of sex addiction issues as the mainstream media begins to shed light on high profile scandals and subsequent treatment methods.

“It’s important for us to accommodate the demand as individuals, couples and families begin to understand the profound impact that sex addiction treatment has on living a healthy life.”

The IOP is a short term, low cost alternative to residential treatment that provides education, guidance and specific treatment toward healing from sexual addiction, sexual compulsivity and related intimacy disorders. The goals of the IOP are:

  • To identify and eliminate sexual acting out behavior
  • To provide concrete tools and plans to maintain ongoing abstinence from problem sexual behaviors
  • To offer insight into the issues that drive addictive sexual behavior
  • To encourage hope and healing for broken relationships
  • To point the way toward sexual health and emotional intimacy

“As someone who has been treating sex addiction and behaviors related to love and intimacy for over 20 years, I find it promising that our program is now expanding to meet demand,” remarked Robert Weiss, Founding Director of SRI. “It’s important for us to accommodate the demand as individuals, couples and families begin to understand the profound impact that sex addiction treatment has on living a healthy life.”
