West Virginia families can now pay premiums online through WV CHIP website

Families eligible for the premium part of the West Virginia Children's Health Insurance Program (WV CHIP) can now pay premiums online through the WV CHIP website at www.chip.wv.gov. The Premium Plan Payment System is free and allows users to make payments securely using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club or electronic check.

"The new Premium Plan Payment System is part of our ongoing efforts to make government more efficient and accessible, and more convenient for participants," said Sharon Carte, executive director at WV CHIP.

The West Virginia Children's Health Insurance Program is a state and federally funded program that provides health insurance to children of families who don't qualify for West Virginia Medicaid, and meet income and other eligibility guidelines.

The Premium Plan Payment System was developed by the West Virginia Children's Health Insurance Program in partnership with WV.gov.
