Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery, is committed to helping clinicians improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs. Teleflex will showcase its broad portfolio of brands, products and technologies at the ANESTHESIOLOGY 2013 annual meeting, October 12-16, in San Francisco, CA.

"At Teleflex, we are dedicated to solving unmet clinical needs and delivering positive outcomes for clinicians, patients and buyers through Purpose-Driven Innovation," said Cary Vance, President of the Teleflex Anesthesia and Respiratory Division. "Over the past several years Teleflex has united trusted brands, products and technologies. We look forward to sharing the value of choosing Teleflex as a preferred partner with the entire anesthesiology community."

Teleflex, through its Arrow, LMA, Hudson RCI and Rusch brands, has a strong history of delivering practical innovation pioneered by physicians and clinicians. Several of these will be highlighted at the Teleflex booth at ANESTHESIOLOGY 2013:

  • Rusch® EZ-Blocker™ Endobronchial Blocker
Designed and developed by an anesthesiologist, this endobronchial blocker is an intuitive, secure method for lung isolation and one-lung ventilation, improving physician confidence during critical procedures.
  • Arrow® FlexBlock® Peripheral Nerve Block (PNB) Catheter and AutoFuser® Disposable Pain Pump
Continuing a long legacy of innovation in catheter design, this new PNB technology enables anesthesiologists to visualize precise tip placement for optimal pain control. The disposable pain pump features continuous infusion with an on-demand patient controlled bolus that effectively and efficiently manages postoperative pain. These two products combine to deliver improved outcomes for the patient and physician.
  • LMA Supreme® Supraglottic Airway
This advanced LMA® Airway, with its unique Second Seal™ technology, provides a higher degree of safety in routine cases, and makes it possible to extend laryngeal mask airway use to more challenging cases.
  • Hudson RCI® ISO-Gard® Mask with ClearAir™ Technology
The first of its kind, this technology was developed by Teleflex in partnership with clinicians who identified an issue and wanted to take action. As the only solution available for "source control" of waste anesthetic gas in the recovery room, the specialized ClearAir™ Technology of the ISO-Gard® Mask simultaneously delivers oxygen to patients and scavenges their exhalation to help limit exposure faced by clinicians.
