New antimicrobial coating prevents infections during cold winter months

With cold and flu season now in full swing, all-natural wellness provider Neutra Corp. (OTCBB: NTRR) is working quickly to deliver a revolutionary new antimicrobial coating that could soon prove to be the best defense against infections and viruses in the most notorious hotspot for the spread of these diseases: the classroom.

Owing to tightly clustered students, poor hygiene and sharing of learning tools and tasks, schools can often become breeding grounds for disease during the cold winter months. The virus can be dangerous, too: Each year, an average of 20,000 children under the age of five is hospitalized because of flu-related complications, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Alongside joint venture partners Surface to Air Solutions (S2O2), NTRR is working to change that. S2O2 has developed an environmentally friendly, water-based solution that forms an invisible, long lasting coating designed to actively protect surfaces from the build-up of organic matter - including bacteria, molds, germs and allergens.

Based on the same ultraviolet photocatalytic oxidation techniques used in hospitals and operating rooms around the world, S2O2's Shok product is even capable of destroying airborne germs, mold and allergens when applied to HVAC systems—including H1N1, Staph and more.

"Without the use of harmful chemicals, Shok works rapidly and effectively to eliminate infectious dangers in the classroom through long-term sterilization of doorknobs, desks, bathrooms and other school surfaces after only a single application," said NTRR CEO Sydney Jim.

S2O2's Shok is only one of several breakthrough wellness products NTRR plans to deliver to the global marketplace in 2014. The company is dedicated to commercializing innovative, all-natural products to compete in the fast-growing wellness sector alongside Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE: HLF), Vitamin Shoppe (NYSE: VSI), Nutraceutical International Corp. (NASDAQ: NUTR) and Schiff Nutrition International Inc. (NYSE: WNI).
