The Center for Applied Nanotechnology presents a ready-to-use reagent for the detection of poly-histidine tagged proteins in Blot assays

The nano-experts from the Center for Applied Nanotechnology (CAN) GmbH expand their product portfolio by CANdots® Series G - His Detect, which is a ready-to-use reagent for the detection of poly-histidine tagged proteins in Blot assays. It is easy to handle, highly sensitive as well as time saving compared to standard methods available on the market, e.g. ECL.

This novel product will be presented at the Analytica fair (01st through 04th of April) in Munich, Germany during the exhibition in hall A3, booth No. 419.

His Detect can be purchased directly at CAN or via the biochemical distributor AppliChem. During April, a special event price is granted to customers, who order directly at CAN. Additionally, a discount is given to customers providing a detailed application report on the use of CANdots® Series G - His Detect.

The product is based on a robust conjugate of antibodies and gold nanoparticles, thus achieving great selectivity and sensitivity. Protein-His-tags can be identified by eye already 30-90 minutes after being spotted on membranes. Therefore, protein expression levels can be quantified even without requirement of expensive equipment.

“The Analytica exhibition in Munich is the perfect opportunity for the introduction of this convenient new product, especially designed for scientists working in protein biochemistry. The use of this reagent saves valuable time during laboratory work. I can just recommend using our efficient His Detect reagent.” says Dr. Frank Schröder-Oeynhausen, Chief of Operation at CAN. Our life science experts are working hard to enable new technologies in order to make research in this field easier and more efficient. Dr. Frank Schröder-Oeynhausen: “We kindly welcome everyone, who would like to know more about our products in this respect to our booth during the fair.”

Further information about CAN GmbH:

CAN GmbH focus on the utilization of new concepts in nanochemistry, especially in the fields of life science (biochemical reagents), material science (components for solar and fuel cells), and home & personal care / industry (cosmetics, detergents, specialty polymers). They participate in national and international research programs. Furthermore, they offer bilateral contract R&D services in the area of nanotechnology to companies and other institutions.

Their main expertise is the production of various nano-scaled materials like fluorescent, plasmonic, magnetic and catalytically-active nanocrystals. These products are marketed under the brand CANdots® and are dispersible either in polar or non-polar media readily available for applications in research and industry.
