Health policy experts to convene at AcademyHealth's 2014 Annual Research Meeting

AcademyHealth's 2014 Annual Research Meeting (ARM) features more than 160 sessions, including invited and peer-reviewed presentations on key issues in health research and policy. The meeting features 18 themes, including: Disparities and Health Equity, Health Information Technology, Public and Population Health and Behavioral Health.

In addition, Sunday's opening plenary will feature Dr. Harvey Fineberg, President of the Institute of Medicine. He will reflect on the role of health services research in supporting a learning healthcare system and achieving improved health outcomes, at a time of constrained federal budgets. Thomas Goetz, co-founder of Iodine Inc., will speak during Monday's plenary. His talk will focus on innovation in technology and communications and techniques to improve engagement and empowerment among individuals. ###
