Titian Software (www.titian.co.uk) has drawn from its extensive knowledge of biobanking requirements to develop a cost-effective, pre-configured software package optimised for managing small to medium-sized sample collections.

Ideal for biobanks, the new Mosaic Freezer Management software package is being launched at the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER) 2015 annual meeting and exhibition, on May 5th, 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. It is based on the latest version of Titian’s pre-eminent sample management software, Mosaic 6.0, and therefore benefits from intuitive inventory tracking, streamlined laboratory workflows and can be extended in capacity and capability to meet future demands.

Mosaic Freezer Management has been designed to be easy to use and highly efficient. It enables users to record the properties and locations for a number of sample types, including tissues, cells and antibodies, via the simple web browser interface. Users are also able to quickly and efficiently find and pick their samples using multi-criteria searches and a printable map of locations. Responding to the need for accurate traceability, the package also maintains a comprehensive audit trail, with all operations performed on all samples recorded in full. The software also has the ability to extend capacity and capabilities to respond to future demands, with a number of optional modules available, and the potential to upgrade to full Mosaic 6.0. This means operators can deploy the cost-effective Mosaic Freezer Management package safe in the knowledge their future needs can always be met.

CEO of Titian Software, Edmund Wilson, commented: “At Titian, we have worked to develop the best sample management solution for collections of all types and sizes. Mosaic Freezer Management is an optimised and cost-effective package, based on our successful Mosaic 6.0 software, which will provide small to medium-sized biobanks with a highly efficient and easy to use system for managing their valuable samples. Launching at the ISBER 2015 annual meeting and exhibition, we invite attendees to come and see how this new software package can provide time and cost savings in their sample management.”
