Millstone Medical Outsourcing to open new clean room in Fall River, MA

Millstone Medical Outsourcing announced today that the company will open a state-of-the-art, 5,400 square foot clean room at Millstone's headquarters in Fall River, MA.  The new clean room, which brings Millstone's overall clean room space to 8,000 plus square feet in total, will be operational by the end of next month.  Currently in the process of completing validations, the new Fall River facility is designed to be ISO certified as a Class 7/Class 10,000 clean room.  Millstone, outsource partner to the nation's top orthopedic companies, is the fast-growing provider of advanced inspection, clean room packaging, loaner kit processing, and distribution services to medical and dental device manufacturers worldwide.    

The new clean room will be equipped with industry-leading Sencorp bar and tray sealers and two top-of-the-line Branson ultrasonic cleaning systems complete with passivation capabilities.  These two cleaners are sourced by a Siemens Reverse Osmosis (RO) high purity water system.  The RO system is equipped with ultra-violet sterilizers and filters to further enhance water purification.  The clean room will also feature a Lighthouse continuous Particulate Monitoring System (PMS) to help maintain Class 10,000 standards.  In addition to particulates, temperature, humidity, and room pressure will be monitored via a web-based application.  The clean room offers a flexible layout with five pass-through chambers and two air-lock chambers as well as air, electric, and nitrogen utility hook ups throughout the room.
