Research ®, Inc., a therapeutically focused contract
research organization (CRO) with a process for delivering reliable
results, has created an Alliance Partnerships program dedicated to the
creation and management of strategic clinical delivery alliances with

“Drug developers are starting to realize that the traditional role of a
preferred CRO provider is not producing the financial, efficiency and
quality benefits they had hoped for”
Industry-wide challenges driven by consolidation, regulatory scrutiny
and intense cost pressures, as well as unprecedented opportunity in
areas like biologics, are forcing the entire industry to think
differently about its R&D business model. Drug development companies are
now looking for a more sophisticated collection and increased
utilization of knowledge. Better internal metrics and business
intelligence help identify their internal costs are in order to measure
the value of outsourcing companies.
“Drug developers are starting to realize that the traditional role of a
preferred CRO provider is not producing the financial, efficiency and
quality benefits they had hoped for,” said Alistair Macdonald, executive
vice president, Strategic Development at INC Research. “We want to take
these relationships to the next level by developing commercial level
solutions supported by our excellence in clinical trial execution. Tim
brings a wealth of experience in helping clinical development leaders
understand how to best manage internal resources and outsourcing
partners and how to realize the value of a relationship at all levels.”
INC Research’s clinical delivery alliance structures can include
complete management of a compound or therapeutic area; management of a
specific function or set of critical processes; sharing in the risk and
reward of a compound's performance; or acting as the sole source
development partner for a customer. The company’s proven experience with
process-driven clinical research methods and its popular metrics-based
Trusted Process® provides the foundation for successful strategic
alliances.
