Prometheus forms Solutions group to help customers develop data-driven solutions

Prometheus Research LLC has formed the Prometheus Solutions group to help customers develop data-driven solutions, including dashboards and reports. The group will draw on expertise developed by the company in its ten years of building custom biomedical data management applications.

"HTSQL is the easiest way to access a database," said Andrzej Pienczykowski, Executive Vice President for Product Development at Prometheus, who will head the group. "Even so, organizations are short-handed these days when it comes to IT. Prometheus Solutions will help organizations solve key data access problems, going from a concept to a delivered solution in a matter of weeks."

HTSQL is software that translates the language of the web (HTTP) to the language of databases (SQL), providing an instant data services layer on top of a SQL database. Using HTSQL, the Prometheus Solutions team will be able to prototype, develop and deliver data-driven web applications quickly. HTSQL makes changing existing applications and adding new features simple, so that HTSQL-based solutions grow with an organization's needs.

Prometheus will offer a wide range of professional services, ranging from database design to application development. Prometheus will deliver solutions using either a software-as-a-service model or deploying and integrating within an organization's IT infrastructure.

Leon Rozenblit, president of Prometheus Research, made the announcement during Gartner ITxpo 2010 in Orlando, Florida. "Our current customers know that we mean what we say when it comes to delivering database solutions fast but with a high degree of quality and flexibility for future growth," Rozenblit said. "We look forward to bringing that experience to sectors where HTSQL has already made an impact, including financial services, energy services, and telecommunications."
