Musculoskeletal expert to discuss preparation for winter sports

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Whether skiing, snowboarding or even playing ice hockey - winter sports enthusiasts will have the chance to chat to a musculoskeletal expert in AXA PPP healthcare's live web discussion on preparing for winter sports on Wednesday 28 November 2012.

As the cold of winter is approaching, AXA PPP healthcare will host the live discussion to enable snow-sports fans to get the support they need ahead of this season - whether it be on how to prepare the body, cope with injury or how to manage existing conditions.

The live chat will be held on Wednesday 28 November 1pm to 3pm with sport and exercise science expert David Williams, who will answer questions on anything related to musculoskeletal health and winter sports, including queries about exercises to strengthen key muscle groups ahead of a trip to the slopes and recovering from common injuries associated with winter activities.

David Williams has a BSc in sports and exercise science and an MSc in applied sports and exercise science and currently provides wellbeing assessments to AXA PPP healthcare members.

Participants are invited to ask David questions on musculoskeletal health and winter sports during the live discussions, or alternatively can submit questions through the AXA PPP healthcare Twitter page, Facebook page or blog.
