PM360 names Atlantis Healthcare as Innovator in Pharma Marketing

Atlantis Healthcare, a global leader in treatment adherence programs, was named an Innovator in Pharma Marketing by PM360 in their special 2013 Innovators issue. The annual showcase honors 60 of the "most forward-thinking ideas and problem solving solutions" that meet current needs in pharmaceutical marketing.

"The pharma industry has been addressing treatment adherence for decades, however nearly three out of four patients still don't take their medications as directed," said Jennifer Sigaud, Managing Director, US, Atlantis Healthcare. "Our unique approach applies principles of health psychology to address nonadherence by targeting a patient's belief systems."

Each year, PM360 invites companies to submit entries to be considered as Innovators in providing solutions for challenges in today's pharmaceutical industry. Entries are divided into five categories: People, Companies, Divisions, Products and Services. Editors then select companies they believe "are making an impact on the industry and on the lives of patients, while making the lives of brand marketers a little easier." Atlantis Healthcare is one of 12 companies featured in the Services category.

Led by the world's largest team of health psychology specialists, Atlantis Healthcare uses proven psychological modeling to assess medication beliefs and illness perceptions across the patient population. Teams develop highly targeted programs that engage patients to rethink how they manage their illness. Programs draw from a toolbox of digital and traditional methods to deliver meaningful interventions that connect with patients to provide unique support that drives behavior change.

"We're delighted our evidence-based approach is recognized as an innovative solution for an issue so critical to successful business practices and positive health outcomes in the pharmaceutical industry," said Sigaud.

Although the Atlantis Healthcare US office opened in 2012, the New Zealand-based company has created and managed treatment adherence programs for more than 15 years globally. The company creates end-to-end solutions for a range of stakeholders including pharma, healthcare systems, and patients.
