ARC® Fertility today announced its Telehealth System, designed to help fertility patients connect with medical professionals via mobile devices to improve communication, speed treatment and increase quality of care. The ARC® Telehealth System allows medical practices specializing in in-vitro fertilization and other fertility treatments additional flexibility to connect with patients, delivering a cost-effective tool for enabling high-quality care while ensuring confidentiality. This solution is HIPAA compliant. In addition, the system features on-screen sharing of important medical information such as test results, e-document signing to ensure compliance, and options to appropriately record essential aspects of the interaction for medical record purposes.

"For both patients and medical professionals, we rely on our smartphones and tablets daily to manage many aspects of our lives, and that includes decisions about medical care," says Dr. David Adamson, CEO of ARC Fertility and practicing reproductive endocrinologist. "Two-thirds of all patients say they want more telemedicine capabilities to provide more flexibility to discuss time sensitive health issues with their physicians. This new offering from ARC Fertility enables IVF clinics to fill a growing need for using mobile technology to improve patient care."

Demand for online access to health information and services is growing at a record pace in the United States, with patients using new technologies to take greater control over their medical treatments and procedures. This includes mobile apps that allow patients to research and receive medical information quickly and easily. The ARC Telehealth System helps medical practices fulfill that growing requirement.

"The cost and complexity of choosing the right medical practice or fertility treatment can be overwhelming for many patients who need more and better information for making those choices," said Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh, MD, MPH, Reproductive Endocrinologist. "Better communication between physician and patient means better decisions and better medical outcomes overall, and solutions like ARC's Telehealth System can play a vital role in enabling that communication."

ARC Fertility will be at the upcoming annual meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), October 19-21 in Baltimore, MD, where they will be featuring the Telehealth System to selected IVF Clinics.
