CHI selects RelayHealth RevRunner healthcare solution

RelayHealth announced today that Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), the nation's second-largest Catholic healthcare system, has chosen RelayHealth RevRunner to verify patient eligibility for healthcare benefits.

Catholic Health Initiatives, a faith-based nonprofit health system based in Denver, Colo., operates 72 hospitals in 18 states. About 40% of the system's facilities are small, critical-access hospitals. As part of its strategic operating plan, CHI reorganized business office and patient-access functions to better serve patients. As part of the reorganization, a strong focus was placed on revenue-cycle management to ensure that CHI was providing the best patient experience in the most efficient manner possible.

Jim Bodenbender, President of RelayHealth, comments, "CHI's choice of RelayHealth RevRunner continues a positive, longstanding relationship that includes other solutions offered by McKesson. The advanced financial clearance and revenue-cycle management tools provided by RelayHealth can help hospitals recover revenues that may have previously gone unbilled or uncollected. An effective suite of revenue cycle solutions is important not only to CHI's stewardship of their organizations' funds in pursuit of their mission, it also helps improve the overall patient experience. We're pleased that CHI has entrusted our products and services with this important role."
