Doctor creates TULA skincare line using Probiotic Technology

TULA (tulaforlife.com), the new skin care line using a patented Probiotic Technology, today announced the launch of their first selection of skin care products. The Sanskrit word for balance, TULA products are designed to bring a sense of balance to every woman's daily skin care routine.

Co-founded by gastroenterologist and media personality Dr. Roshini Rajapaksa, a.k.a. Dr. Raj, the products are infused with a probiotic complex, which features rice proteins, vitamins A, C, and E, and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, as well as white tea and blueberry extracts. "I wanted to find effective ingredients to keep our skin gorgeous, and I created the TULA skincare line using various skin nourishing ingredients and Probiotic Technology. Probiotics—organisms (bacteria or yeast) naturally found in humans—have always fascinated me," says Dr. Raj. She has designed these formulas to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth and hydrate skin, and fight free radical attack.

Recently, a growing body of research, including the Journal of Applied Microbiology, the British Journal of Nutrition and the British Journal of Dermatology, showed that probiotics can have other health-promoting effects beyond digestive tract well-being, including skin health benefits. The topical use of probiotics has been showed to stimulate skin's protective mechanism, improve the balance of the "good" bacteria in skin, guard against UV-induced damage and improve skin's elasticity and collagen production.

The TULA line includes a purifying cleanser, an illuminating face serum, a revitalizing eye cream, and a day-and-night hydrating cream.
