Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine students will present 10 studies at the upcoming American Physician Scientists Association meeting April 27-29 in Chicago.
Loyola's total of 10 accepted studies is the third highest among the approximately 75 schools that are participating in the meeting.
The meeting is the largest worldwide meeting of physician-scientist trainees. The meeting will be coordinated with the Association of American Physicians and American Society for Clinical Investigation.
The 10 Loyola students presenting studies are Sarah Bauer, Mary Bernardin, Noah Birch, Kristiyana Kaneva, Devin Loewenstein, Courtney Pinkham, Swathi Reddy, Korosh Sharain, Malachy Sullivan and Joseph Venturini.
More than one-third of Stritch students participate in formal research programs, and many others are engaged in less formal research.
"Understanding and practicing evidence-based medicine makes our students become better physicians," said Linda Brubaker, MD, MS, Dean of Stritch School of Medicine.
