Primex Wireless releases latest SNS Applications Management Platform software

Primex Wireless – the leading provider of solutions to automate and maintain facility compliance, increase efficiencies and reduce risk for enterprise organizations – announced the release of its latest SNS Applications Management Platform (AMP 4.0) software, incorporating support for the company's new SNS Differential Pressure Monitoring solution. The addition of SNS Differential Pressure Monitoring to the Primex Wireless Synchronous Network System (SNS) provides facility managers with even greater capabilities for wireless sensor monitoring and accurate data logging, documentation and reporting to enhance safety and compliance.

"Our new SNS Differential Pressure Monitoring solution is ideal for a variety of applications in a healthcare facility," said Steve Deutscher , Primex Wireless Director, Sensors. "With the ability to detect changes in pressure down to plus-or-minus one-thousandth of an inch H2O, our sensor is well suited for critical uses requiring precise monitoring and alerting."

The SNS Differential Pressure Monitoring solution offers a low-cost, portable alternative to costly built-in systems. Highly sensitive sensors detect very low and ultra-low changes in air pressure, capture periodic readings and communicate the data to the SNS AMP 4.0 software using the facility's existing 802.11 b/g network. The sensor includes both a wireless radio and an Ethernet port to ensure convenient access to the facility's Wi-Fi network.

Customizable user span settings help to minimize "nuisance" alarms by initiating alerts and email notifications only when pressure thresholds have been breached for a pre-determined length of time.  As with all SNS devices, the comprehensive differential pressure monitoring data and reports are quickly accessible through the Web-enabled AMP interface, making it easy to maintain optimum conditions and prove compliance to all authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).

AMP 4.0 yields greater productivity

The more robust SNS AMP 4.0 – the Web-based software hub of the Primex Wireless Synchronous Network System – features performance enhancements, operating system upgrades and integrated online documentation to deliver more efficient automated facility compliance management.

"We're very excited about the improvements in AMP 4.0 that will provide significant value to our customers," said Mike O'Brien, Primex Wireless Director, Product Development. "In addition to supporting the new SNS Differential Pressure Sensor, we have also greatly improved the response time for device status and other data-rich page displays to speed page load times."

SNS AMP 4.0 incorporates underlying operating system upgrades to provide the latest version drivers, performance and security updates. Several field issue fixes have also been addressed to improve overall performance of the platform.
