Astoriom acquires Precision Stability Storage

Astoriom, a global leader in scientific research and consumer product sample stability and biorepository storage, has expanded its sample management capabilities in the US with the acquisition of Precision Stability Storage. This acquisition marks a strategic expansion of Astoriom's footprint in North America, strengthening its presence in high-growth regions for biopharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology innovation. With increased capacity, broader geographic coverage and faster access to GxP stability storage, Astoriom's global customers will gain local access to reliable and compliant solutions to advance scientific discovery and product innovation.

Precision Stability Storage sites in Wilson (North Carolina), Fort Lauderdale (Florida) and Hopedale (Massachusetts) add to Astoriom's extensive portfolio of global sample storage facilities, strengthening its current capabilities to address the growing need for comprehensive, cost-effective and scalable solutions. The state-of-the-art facilities provide the highest standards of offsite stability storage, quality and compliance for products that require ICH-specified environmental conditions and storage of temperature-sensitive biological materials. This includes long-term and intermediate conditions (25 °C /40 % relative humidity (RH), 25 °C /60 % RH, 30 °C /65 % RH, 30 °C /75 % RH, 30 °C /35 % RH), accelerated storage (40 °C /< 25 % RH, 40 °C /75 % RH), refrigerated and freezer storage conditions (2-8 °C, -20 °C, -80 °C, -196 °C) as well as ambient storage conditions (15-30 °C). These capabilities will further enable Astoriom to secure, protect and preserve the viability and integrity of samples and products for its customers with enhanced geographic reach.

The acquisition is a critical step in Astoriom's global M&A-driven expansion strategy. It follows the acquisition of North Carolina-based Flagship Biosciences' biorepository solutions and Nottingham-based MTS Cryo Stores and Cool Repair Scientific UK, as well as the launch of its cryosuite and expansion of its Tramore site in Ireland.

This acquisition is testament to Precision Stability Storage's exceptional standards of storage excellence, compliance and security, offering the utmost-quality equipment and facilities available for temperature and humidity control to ensure the preservation of vital stability studies. Together, we've reinforced our position as a trusted global partner that organizations can depend on to maintain the integrity of their valuable sample assets."
