Association of Surgeons in Training affliates with International Journal of Surgery

Elsevier, a world-leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, is pleased to announce that the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) has affiliated with the International Journal of Surgery (IJS), an online-only peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of surgery.

IJS is published online six times per year (increasing to eight in 2010) and is indexed in PubMed/MEDLINE. It features original research articles, review papers, editorials and letters, relating to all areas of surgery and its subspecialties. The journal was launched in 2003 by Dr Riaz Agha, the Managing and Executive Editor, and has an eminent international editorial board, under the Editor-in-Chief Professor R David Rosin (Bridgetown, Barbados), formerly Vice-President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Henry Spilberg, Publisher for Elsevier's Surgery journals in the UK, said: "We are very excited by the new affiliation between ASiT and the IJS. ASiT Members will be offered access to the online journal at a heavily discounted rate as a benefit of membership. ASiT members will access the IJS through a personalised site with extra content and features. Members will be encouraged to submit their work to the peer-reviewed journal and benefit from the wide range of Elsevier author services.
