Capario, a leading provider of revenue cycle management solutions that connect healthcare payers and providers nationwide, today announced it has achieved the CAQH® Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE®) Phase II Certification for its Phoenix Processing System.

“Capario's Phase II Certification directly supports this need and helps further this imperative shift.”

After securing Phase I Certification last year, Capario began pursuing Phase II, which also includes strict qualification criteria related to electronic data interchanges processes set forth by CORE.

"The healthcare industry continues focusing on ways to minimize costs, and the utilization of real-time transactions presents a clear opportunity for more efficient, accurate and cost-effective communications between payers and providers," says Andrew Lawson, president of Capario. "Capario's Phase II Certification directly supports this need and helps further this imperative shift."

By achieving Phase II Certification, Capario will help streamline eligibility, benefits and claim data transactions, while also reducing the amount of time and resources providers spend on related administrative functions. By helping providers operate more efficiently, payers will also be able to reduce costs and improve efficiency with more accurate, timely transactions and reduced paper-based processes.

The CORE Phase II rules emphasize the ability of providers to check the status of a claim electronically and confirm claims receipt without manual processes, expanding on the CORE Phase I rules that focus on improving electronic eligibility and benefits verifications.
