The Attune® Acoustic Focusing Flow Cytometer delivers higher sensitivity when you needed most. Precise alignment, even at high sample rates (up to 1 mL/min) will be maintained.

Alternatively, a slower rate to collect more photons can be used when analyzing dim signals—this translates to better separation and better clarity of the results. Data obtained with the Attune® Acoustic Focusing Cytometer are more precise (narrower fluorescence peaks) than data obtained with traditional hydrodynamic focusing instruments, resulting in greater separation and easier data interpretation.

Switching to highest sensitivity mode, the Attune® Flow Cytometer was able to detect beads that were too faint for the conventional flow cytometer’s detectors (Figure 2) demonstrating sensitivity equal to or better than a conventional flow cytometer.

Most standard applications for flow cytometry have been tested on the Attune® Flow Cytometer, including:

  • Apoptosis
  • Cell cycle analysis
  • Detection of phosphoproteins
  • Immunophenotyping
  • Rare-event detection
  • Basic phenotyping (up to 6 colors)
  • Cell proliferation
  • GFP & RFP detection
  • Live/dead cell discrimination
  • Phagocytosis
  • Other intracellular markers

Many standard cell types have also been tested, including:

  • 3T3 mouse embryo fibroblast cells
  • Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells
  • HeLa human cervical carcinoma cells
  • Human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC )
  • Jurkat cells
  • Ramos B cells
  • Mouse blood
  • U266 myeloma cells
  • Bovine pulmonary artery epithelial (BPAE) cells
  • E. coli, S. aureus, human platelets
  • HL60 promyoblast cells
  • Human whole blood
  • Mouse splenocytes
